      Kwant Controls systems and product are built for a ships life time(30 years). Recommendation for replacing critical components such as drive belts, potentiometers, relay’s etc. at every 10 years, depending on risk profile.

      Yes, Kwant Controls supplies spare parts for up to 20 years after equipment delivery. They also offer comprehensive support services, including:

      Always provide the factory number (6 digits) from the product or system to ensure fast and accurate support.

      A Remote Control unit/ system enables the operator to directly control Propulsion or steering from the bridge. If the Remote control fails, the Engine Order Telegraph (EOT) can be selected. This mode transmitted commands via from the bridge to the engine room, where they are executed manually. This provides a redundant and safe control method and is a IMO requirements.

      The Electric Shaft System synchronizes the control levers across different control stations (such as bridge and bridge wings), allowing them to move in unison. This enables smooth and safe transfer of control without causing propulsion or course disturbances. The system enhances safety and user convenience, especially in emergency situations.
